This year the Government have announced that the Budget will be issued later than usual on 11th March 2020. Due to this Sage (UK) will be releasing two Sage 50Cloud Payroll updates.

The 1st update will be released in February 2020, which will have all the new features and improvements. The 2nd update will be released after the budget, this will include new legislation changes.

You can install your new software updates in a number of ways:

*Install when prompted in your software (this prompt will appear if you accepted terms during installation)

*Via Help then Check for Updates within your Sage 50Cloud software

*Logging on HERE to your My Sage account online and downloading your updates

It is advised that you install all new Sage 50Cloud Payroll updates as soon as they become available – this will make sure you are always up to date.

Our advice before installing any new updates for Sage 50Cloud Payroll is to always back up your data first.

How do I perform a back up on my Sage Payroll

1.Click Tools then click Backup

2.Click Browse, then browse to where you want to save the file

3.In Filename, enter a name for your backup so you can easily identify it.

4.Click Backup now then click Close Backup screen.

    1. Hi Neil. The 2nd payroll update started rolling out from the 27th March 2020. If you are checking for updates via your software and it isn’t available (this could be due to your firewall), log on to your My Sage account and go to Support then Download Software and Updates. The update name is: Sage 50cloud Payroll V26.1 (Second PYE release for tax year 2020/2021). If still unavailable check in a few days as they roll these out from a set date.
